Teddy Bear Enthusiasts

This blog is for teddy bear enthusiasts, designers, collectors or anyone intersted in the art of teddy bear making and embroidery. The blog will track the process of creating a series of Jamari Designs Do It Yourself (D.I.Y) heritage bears. The process will track my inspiration through to the releasing of the free pattern of each D.I.Y heritage bear. The D.I.Y bear patterns will be released every quarter. Input from subscribers is welcome and encouraged as the aim of the blog is to gather inspiration and ideas from fellow collectors and designers.

Vintage Bear Pictures

Marie Williamson - Wednesday, February 04, 2009
Hi,

As I mentioned in my previous post I have attached some photos of my favourite classic vintage bears. I have been busy designing our new HBB bears and once they are completed I will begin to release the DIY HBB patterns. Summer is currently in its full swing here with some days reaching 40 degrees plus.

Good Bye for now,

Marie

Introduction

Marie Williamson - Monday, January 19, 2009
Hello,

My name is Marie Williamson a co-owner and designer of Jamari Designs. I have been in the craft and floral industry for the past 21 years and been a teddy bear collector and enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I have lived in many small towns through out country Western Australia where I have owned several craft stores and florists. I am currently living in Moora, Western Australia which is a small farming town with a population of roughly 1400.

The idea of this blog is to release a series of free D.I.Y heritage bear patterns to complete a four bear series. The blog will track the design process and inspirations behind the Jamari Designs D.I.Y heritage bear series.  I will try to release bear patterns to subscribers roughly every quarter and record the design process as it happens. Subscribers input is welcome and encouraged as well their feedback and experiences when making the bears.

I am currently in the process of gathering photos of my favourite vintage bears which I will hopefully learn how to and be able to upload in my next post.
